Hey Scoth, that really is pretty funny. It IS a small world.
I remember doing that Battleship game. I was given this silver box, with a cable for audio, a power cable, and a plug for a MIDI connection where I connected up my Atari ST computer, and wrote the music on the Atari and the box emulated the sound chip of the NES. It was really inflexible, not much control and I found it really frustrating - the same with the SNES which I did a bit of work on later on. With those systems, the most important thing was how the system, and the sound drivers were written. You could always tell the people who had good sound drivers as they could do so much more with their system... I missed out on that one....
