It's pretty easy to get this sort of effect.
Firstly, you need a patch with a good low pass filter - pref. a 4 pole or more, 24 db slope. Then add shedloads of resonance. You need to map the filter cutoff to a midi controller so you can control it in real-time (or program it in a sequencer) - you could, for example, map the filter cutoff to a pitchbend wheel.
The next step is to run the patch through a distortion, that gives it the squelchy sound.
Then, play and wobble the pitchbed around
